Semi-Automatic and Manual Part Inspection

The Wren Manufacturing Group’s inspection and verification capabilities revolve around our numerous Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs). The versatility of this cadre of precision measuring equipment allows for either manual part verification or semi-automated inspection.

Efficient and Effective Part Verification. These systems are completely programmable for routine measurement and data collection, and can use direct drive capabilities and fully articulating Renishaw probes to check even the most challenging part geometries. The versatility, accuracy and reliability of this equipment allows for efficient and effective parts verification ensuring the quality of your product.

First Article Inspections & Production Part Approval Processes

The Wren Manufacturing Group makes it a practice to ensure your product meets all aspects of its design specifications before committing to production. The verification of initial part quality is paramount to the success of your project or program. To ensure our capabilities to provide “parts to print”, the first piece is always inspected.

Historical Record Kept and Checked. While this is undoubtedly a good practice, sometimes simple part verifications are not enough. Based on the scope or critical nature of the product, comprehensive records are maintained to provide historical insight and allow for customer review and approval prior to production release or shipment of goods.

Rigid Part Approval Processes

We pride ourselves on our flexibility and ability to adapt to customer requirements, so when you have a rigid part approval process we are prepared to comply.

For automotive customers, we employ the industry-recognized Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) methodology, providing:

Control Plans, FMEA information, Part Layouts Reports, Part Submission Warrants (PSWs), Run At Rate and Process Capability and all associated data, available for customer review and approval.

For aerospace customers, we utilized the prescribed AS9102 format for First Article Inspection (FAI) on each and every project, standardizing product inspection reports, material and process certifications, for your convenient review and approval.

The Wren Manufacturing Group provides Inspection, Salvage, Sort and Containment services enabling you to reclaim valuable components and constituent parts while disposing of obsolete goods that can no longer be used.

Per your instructions, we inspect, disassemble, repack useful parts for return to you and scrap out your obsolete goods.

Rework and Repair

If your components require rework or repair to meet new configuration requirements, the Wren Manufacturing Group offers rework and repair services, suitable to restore your salvaged goods to original/functional specifications.

Evaluate Fitness-For-Use. At your request, our manufacturing engineering experts will evaluate your product and propose a practical approach to restore the product’s “fitness for use”. To ensure your products’ integrity in accordance with your approved work instructions, we will:
